Brick lanes name exisited very far back in history as 1550, and its locations
was when clay was digged up to produce tiles or possible the brick earth.
Fast forward it is a street in East London, England.
The Truman Brewry established in 1666, and in the 1800s it was known
as the largest brewery globably. Accoring to trumansbeer , “By 1989 the
brewery and pubs were sold and truman’s sadly closed its doors”. Moving
forward to 2010, it reopened by two local beer brewers, James Morgan and
Michael-George Hemus, bringing its cultural great beer back. It is now
longer brewing, and has become the center for markets, stalls and shops.
The Brick lane market first started during the 17th centry in the Old Truman
brewery building, and is held on a unique day. Sunday the religous
day of the week when it a Jewish community at the time. This is when the
market only opened; until the 20th century when Bengali (Bangladeshi)
people arrived in town. Apart from indian Curry, the location is also famous
for its Art Community, in regards to graffiti. Now it is also known as
Banglatown, famous for its Curry resturants naming it the “Curry Capital”.
The original chapel-turned-synagogue, was transferomed into a Mosque
called London Jamme Masjid. Changing hands from Jewish religion to
Muslim.
